Fred Caserta is a passionate and creative thinker, having gained his expertise throughout his career as a graphic designer, advertising and marketing professional. He was a lead graphic designer on the first U.S. release of the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise in 1998. In 2001, Caserta was selected as the creative lead for Motorola's Integrated Solutions Division, where he was immersed in hardware and software systems for public safety, law enforcement, and homeland security for five years. Following months of research and development experimenting with 360 spherical video and early virtual reality, he concluded that if video game technology were leveraged via VR, first responders could essentially be immersed in high-risk, low-frequency situations. Developing a system that could be used for recruitment, retention, education, training, assessment, and potentially even evaluation in the not-too-distant future kicked off the eight-year-long endeavor to date. Caserta then launched his own leading-edge firm in the virtual reality and augmented reality enterprise space, FIRE RESCUE, Llc and subsequently Pleiadian Systems Corporation in 2021. He had the distinct honor of speaking at the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Innovation in Safety Symposium at the Fire Rescue International Conference in 2023, in addition to presenting and demonstrating his VR system at fire, hazmat, and mental health conferences and expos around the U.S.
