Chad Beam serves as an Assistant Chief of South Carolina State Fire, overseeing the Emergency Response Division, which includes all Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) teams, SC-HART, and firefighter mobilization. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Beam began as a firefighter/EMT in 2005, advancing through leadership roles such as Field Training Officer, Rescue Technician, and Deputy Director. He holds a bachelors degree in Emergency Services Management from Anderson University and a master's in Public Administration from Clemson University, along with multiple leadership program completions.
