Where Leadership, Operations & Technology Meet.

The fire service has proudly boasted the phrase, “Two hundred years of tradition unimpeded by progress,” but the fire service has employed more research, data, and technology over the last decade than ever before. In this new age of technology, progressive fire service leaders now demand “data-based decision-making,” for not only organizational management decisions, but also on-scene emergency response operations. To meet this demand, plus focus on the changing needs and expectations of what attendees are seeking in an event experience, Firehouse magazine is pleased to announce a completely re-imagined approach to training, education, and networking.

Meet FireFusion - an all-new concept dedicated to advancing the development and application of technology in the fire service - and designed with the attendee in mind.  Showcasing the finest in Southern hospitality and the charm of family-friendly Charleston, FireFusion blends important topics in leadership, operations and technology with a curated experience focused on the details.  At this new event, attendees will collaborate, connect, and partner with the presenters, products and service providers that are moving the fire service forward, with the goal of facilitating more efficient firegrounds and keeping firefighters safe and healthy.

Leave behind your expectations of an over-scheduled, over-crowded, and over-priced event and enjoy a different way of learning and connecting with leaders, influencers and decision makers in the fire service. Let FireFusion reinvent what you expect - and deserve - from an exceptional learning and networking experience.

Why Charleston?

Locating this new event in Charleston, where the department lost nine firefighters in the tragic 2007 Sofa Super Store fire, allows us to honor the Charleston 9 and showcase the efforts to advance firefighter safety and health while looking at proven and new technologies that can assist today’s firefighter. The Charleston Fire Department is like the Phoenix that rose from the ashes, giving a rebirth to the members of the department, and the American fire service, while challenging the way missions were accomplished. Two decades later, technology has had a major impact on the way departments operate, from fireground and EMS responses to personnel and training management.
